Necessity to quickly build a strong and cohesive development team

A year and a half ago, Alex Rabinovich approached InfinIT with several tasks critical to the growth of his new company, which was establishing a robust practice in Oracle solutions. He needed clear and prompt payroll solutions, as he already had developers in Ukraine working on a B2B contract. Additionally, he needed to assemble a tailor-made team of developers specializing in Oracle Fusion technology to meet the specific requirements of his practice.

As an exceptional expert in Oracle technologies, Alex himself handles tech architecture services and client consulting, but he needed to quickly build a strong and cohesive development team to support his business. We began our collaboration by providing a full suite of B2B contractor services, offering comprehensive solutions for contract preparation, execution, and payroll management.

In response to the growing needs of our client’s business, we quickly expanded our services to include compensation calculations and additional payments management for contractors, based on a reporting system we established. This system ensured precise tracking of contractors’ working hours, tasks completed, holidays, birthdays, and vacations. Essentially, we provided a full-service Agent of Record (AOR) solution to support the client’s business.

Simultaneously, we offered top-notch technical recruitment services. Over nine months, we assembled a professional team of 10 developers from Ukraine, Portugal, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan for Alex Rabinovich. Despite the narrow specialization required and the high technical skill demands, we successfully matched the right talents, balancing qualifications, and compensation expectations. We also considered soft skills, ensuring the team members fit the company culture and shared the values of its leader. Given the international nature of the team, payments are made in USD and EUR.

Understanding the client’s commitment to team development and personalized communication, we provided comprehensive HR management services. This included onboarding new members, integrating them into the company’s processes, introducing them to the company values, and building a reward and motivation system. Our HR support also covered communication, training, and professional development.

We established a well-functioning communication system with each client employee, maintaining regular and ad-hoc meetings as needed. This approach ensured quick resolution of any operational issues, like changes in interaction formats due to vacations or personal circumstances. For team members in Ukraine, especially during blackouts or other war-related disruptions, we swiftly identified periods of inactivity and found optimal solutions to adjust their schedules to meet deadlines.

Contractors reported their working hours and completed tasks in Atlassian JIRA. Based on this information, we conducted initial checks, clarified any discrepancies, calculated compensation, prepared primary documents, and processed payments. We also drafted invoices and work completion reports for the team members to approve, saving their time and allowing them to focus on their tasks.

Our client was highly satisfied with our comprehensive services and professional approach. Consequently, our founder and CEO, Nina Guzei, now serves as a trusted advisor on personnel selection, team restructuring for greater efficiency, organizational process changes, clear goal setting, effective communication tools, and handling unforeseen situations.
